Former Rangers winger Peter Løvenkrands has revealed ex-Celtic favourite Chris Sutton promised him he'd keep him quiet in the Scottish Cup final - just one week before the Dane famously scored the winner.
The year was 2002, and Martin O'Neill's Celtic were on top in Glasgow, having just secured their second successive Scottish title with the likes of Sutton, John Hartson and Henrik Larsson leading the way.
But Rangers looked rejuvenated under new manager Alex McLeish, and had already claimed the League Cup that season.

The two teams made it to the Scottish Cup final but played in a meaningless league match in April 2002 at Parkhead, with Løvenkrands scoring in a 1-1 draw which Sutton missed through injury.
Following that game, Løvenkrands has revealed he bumped into Sutton before the clash at Hampden Park, and promised to set him straight.

Speaking on BBC Radio Scotland's Sportsound programme on Thursday night, Løvenkrands said: "Nobody really knows but Chris Sutton told me a week before, in a bar in town - I met him, and I'd just scored at Parkhead and we'd drew 1-1 and he told me 'I wasn't playing in that game and you would never have scored had I been playing...I would've probably injured you' n all that.
"I scored two goals in the cup final and one of them at the end and I was absolutely buzzing off that.
Of course, Rangers went on to win the final 3-2, courtesy of a last-gasp winner from Løvenkrands - who peeled away from Sutton to head past Robert Douglas.
