Usain Bolt's First Touch Was The Pass Of The Game - And He Didn't Even Mean It

How did he manage to pull this off?

Usain Bolt made his professional debut for A-League side Central Coast Mariners on Friday, coming on in the 70th minute against an amateur team in Gosford, north of Sydney.

It was a historic moment for both the player and club. Bolt finally realised his dream of playing professionally, even if it was a brief 20 minute cameo, and the Mariners picked up huge coverage from around the world - a win-win for all involved.

Yes, Bolt may need some time to settle judging on his debut today, but his first touch gave us plenty of hope in the second half.

How did the Jamaican manage to pull this one off?!

It may have been pure luck that his 'pass' found a Mariners teammate, but it was recorded as his only completed pass in his 22 minute appearance.

The 32-year-old managed the following stats, picking up a total of nine touches as well as failing to record a single shot on target.

The Olympic Champion has tried his luck at Borussia Dortmund and Norwegian outfit Strømsgodset in the past, but it never quite worked out.

Central Coast Mariners gave him a chance, though, and are willing to hand him the opportunity to shine:

"The Central Coast Mariners remain committed to discussions with the 'world's fastest man' and his management team, regarding what role the Club may play in Bolt's burning ambition to become a professional footballer." they said in a statement, last month.
