Commentator Ray Hudson let out a hilarious shrieking reaction to Lionel Messi's sensational strike against Huesca on Tuesday.

Messi, 33, opened the scoring in stunning fashion at the Camp Nou as he turned defender Jorge Pulido inside out with a magnificent first touch.

The Barcelona captain then unleashed a rocket of a strike to beat Andres Fernandez as the ball pinged off the underside of the crossbar.

Messi's 13th-minute opener left Hudson in complete awe as he couldn't contain his excitement after screaming at the top of his lungs.

Hudson, who has delivered some legendary quotes about the Argentine superstar, proceeded to hilariously ask if clocks went back last night as he suggested that Messi had "jumped over time."

The 65-year-old former footballer yelled: "Wow! Are you kidding me?

"Did the clocks go back last night [...]? Because if they... Messi just jumped over time here."

Antoine Griezmann doubled Barcelona's lead in the first half before Rafa Mir pulled one back for Huesca from the spot-kick.

However, a potential Huesca upset against Barcelona was thwarted as Oscar Mingueza added his side's third early in the second half before Messi completed his brace late in the match.

Barcelona's 4-1 victory moved them second in La Liga as they continue to mount a title challenge.

Ronald Koeman's men are two points ahead of fierce rivals Real Madrid and four points behind league leaders Atletico Madrid.

Barcelona will resume their La Liga campaign on Sunday as they travel to the Anoeta for their clash with Real Sociedad.
