The Moment Panama Tried To Score From Kick-Off Whilst England Celebrated Goal

Panama were so desperate to score a goal in the World Cup that they were prepared to throw the rules out of the window against England.

When Harry Kane scored England's second from the spot with an emphatic penalty, every England outfield player joined him in celebrating off the pitch.

And in a proper Primary School football moment, one Panama player grabbed the ball, raced up to the halfway line and took a kick-off.

He passed it to his teammate, who made his way into an England half that only had Jordan Pickford in it. But by the time he'd taken a tame shot at the Everton No.1, the referee had already halted his progress and blew up.

In England's first game against Tunisia, Kieran Trippier did not celebrate Harry Kane's dramatic last minute winner with the rest of his teammates - with there being information floating around that the game can be restarted if all outfielders have left their half.

Panama appeared to have been fooled by the myth and tried to score while England were celebrating. However, the legitimate rule is that a kick-off cannot be taken unless all players are in their own half.

The CONCACAF outfit did get their desired goal in the 78th minute when 37-year old sub Felipe Baloy found the net and everyone associated with Panama celebrated as though they had won the World Cup.
