Man Painted In Gold And Becomes A Human Trophy After Losing Bet In Fantasy Football

Jon Fuller insisted that their fantasy football forfeits help "keep everyone motivated not to forget to do their team or drop out."

A fantasy football manager has hilariously been transformed into a human trophy as part of an amazing bet for losing in a league with his pals.

Chris Talbot took part in a fantasy football league with 12 of his mates last season and found himself bottom of the league.

Gold-painted Talbot found himself donning a football kit with "loser" on the back and took to the streets of London as stood on a plinth that simply said: "Loser Fantasy Football 2019/20."

Jon Fuller, who is one of Talbot's mates, said they had to "come up with something a bit different" for punishment this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The 31-year-old, from Eltham, told PA news agency: "He's happily mid-table this year in the early stages and definitely learnt his lesson.

"We've done a forfeit every year for the loser but had to come up with something a bit different this year... something he could do socially distanced.

"He had a gold mask for getting around on public transport."

Talbot and his friends have known each other by playing in a six-a-side team in Greenwich.

And they created their fantasy football league, hilariously called 'How Souness Now,' seven years ago.

The punishment for losing the league each season is created by the winner, with Mike Arnsbro taking home the winning crown for the 2019-20 season.

One of the previous losing bets included a 'bushtucker trial-style' eating challenge, while another involved getting a belly button piercing.

Fuller said: "I think Chris got away fairly lightly. The forfeit helps keep everyone motivated not to forget to do their team or drop out."
