Roy Keane's Reaction To Question About His Beard Is The Most Roy Keane Thing Ever

Never change, Roy.

It's the question on everybody's lips right now. How is Roy Keane coping in lockdown? And how many times has he said "nonsense" in the past two weeks?

Seriously though, we heard from the man himself during an entertaining segment with Jamie Carragher, Gary Neville and Monday Night Football presenter David Jones on Sky Sports earlier, and it certainly didn't disappoint.

Keane spoke about a range of subjects, including pay cuts and the current era of Manchester United players.

But it was an awkward moment involving a beard-related question that picked up the biggest reaction.

In the above clip, Jones asks the group: "It's 182 days until hairdressers are open potentially, what's your reaction to that?" and Keane quickly responded in his own, typical manner.

Without even a smile or a raised eyebrow, the Irishman doesn't hold back. Like always.

Away from the funny side of the show, Keane gave his honest thoughts on pay cuts in football during this difficult time.

"I'm not sure how I'd have dealt with it, but I've got a lot of sympathy for the players out there because, once again, they're getting criticised," he told Sky Sports.

"There are players at the big clubs, with a lot of wealthy owners, who are under pressure to take pay cuts etc... but I wouldn't take a pay cut from anybody if I was at one of the bigger clubs.

"You take your wages, and if you want to be generous you go ahead and do it.

"I don't think players should feel under pressure from clubs, particularly the bigger clubs, to take pay cuts.

"They've signed a contract. I know everyone's different, but your contract with a club is a personal matter, and this idea that all the players have to take a pay cut... I think it's nonsense."

Keane was also asked which one player from his era would he like to see in the current Manchester United side, and it didn't take him long to suggest Paul Scholes.
