Pep Guardiola Calls Gary Neville 'Phil', Jamie Carragher's Response Is Priceless

Carra loved it...

Pep Guardiola appeared on Sky Sports' Premier League launch show on Tuesday night and accidentally called Gary Neville "Phil" when interviewed by the United legend and Jamie Carragher.

The City boss talked through his side's incredible record-breaking title-winning campaign last season and was quizzed on how they go about defending their crown this time around.

But towards the end of the chat when Guardiola was talking about his players looking to improve despite last term's tally of 100 points, he got the Neville brothers a bit mixed up and said the name of younger sibling, Philip.

The facial expressions of G Nev and the returning Carragher said absolutely everything.

Gary really didn't look happy, did he? While Jamie absolutely loved the slip of the tongue.

There was more misery for Neville later on as he and Carra took part in a penalty challenge that came with a forfeit.

Neville, the man who once sprinted across Old Trafford to celebrate in front of thousands of Liverpool fans, will now wear their famous colours live on Sky Sports after losing the bet to his fellow pundit.

It was the former Valencia manager who proposed the bet, saying, "You've got to wear a United shirt, or I've got to wear a Liverpool shirt when you've felt your way back in a show in a few weeks," before Carragher saved his penalty with his backside.

Carra, who once memorably missed a spot-kick for England against Portugal in the 2006 World Cup quarter final, tucked his away wonderfully to get one over Neville.

He then tried to up the stakes by stating Neville should wear 'Carragher 23' or 'Shaqiri 23' on the back of the shirt that the Liverpool shirt he is buying for him.

We're dying to see him on air in his rivals colours and we know Carragher is too.
