Gary Neville Hilariously Gatecrashed Jose Mourinho’s Interview After David De Gea’s Howler

Gary Neville Hilariously Gatecrashed Jose Mourinho’s Interview After David De Gea’s Howler

Gary Neville's stunned reaction to David de Gea's shocking howler hilariously interrupted Jose Mourinho's pre-match interview.

The 29-year-old Spanish shot-stopper was at fault for Watford's opener against Manchester United at Vicarage Road.

Ismaila Sarr's fluffed effort bounced onto the floor and went straight through the hands of De Gea, who has been heavily criticised for his form.

And United legend Neville couldn't believe his eyes as he watched the Red Devils No 1 make his howler on a TV behind the scenes.

Geoff Shreeves was interviewing ex-United boss Mourinho ahead of Spurs' showdown with Chelsea at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

And the Sky Sports reporter couldn't help but have the camera show Neville's reaction and hilariously called him out for interrupting the interview with the 'Special One.'

He said: "Last thing [Mourinho], now you've experienced being a pundit in the television studio, your opinion on the unprofessional nature of Gary Neville?

"You and I are doing a professional interview and he falls to the floor in disgust. What does that tell you about his lack of standards?"

Tottenham boss Mourinho, who was axed from United last season, saw the funny side of the incident and sympathised with the former Red Devils captain.

"I think Gary cannot hide his United connections [laughs], but he is a very good pundit," the 'Special One' said.

Mourinho, who succeeded Mauricio Pochettino at Spurs, would head over to where Neville was standing and watched the replays of De Gea's mistake.

And the former Chelsea boss reacted with a sort of unsurprised reaction to the howler.

Troy Deeney would condemn United to a 2-0 defeat after slamming home from the spot-kick, only minutes after the opener from Sarr.
