Forget Simone Zaza taking 20 steps before taking that infamous penalty at the European Championships last summer. We've found a new contender for the worst penalty of all time.

Trying to be all cool and arrogant about the situation, Roma's Diego Perotti walked up to the ball with a real swagger but in a calamitous turn of events, the player missed and it made him look really, really silly.

To be fair Perotti has converted 15 out of his last 17 penalties, but this is truly awful.

Here's how the rest of Twitter reacted to Perotti's antics

Is this one of the worst penalty's of all time?

It's got to be a real contender.
