Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp received a hilarious picture message from Alisson when he checked up on him after his Copa America heroics.

The Reds shot-stopper, 26, will return to pre-season training later this month after enjoying an extended break following his exploits with Brazil this summer.

But Klopp, 52, decided to check up on the former Roma star while he enjoyed his time off.

"I sent Alisson a message [saying] 'are you okay?'" the German head coach told the Anfield Wrap.

"And he only sent a picture back of him riding a horse with a cowboy hat on."

Alisson's picture has now emerged online after he posted it on his Instagram Story.

The Brazilian superstar finished his first season with Liverpool by winning the Premier League Golden Glove and the Champions League Golden Glove.

And Alisson lifted the Copa America trophy with Brazil and also took home the Copa America Golden Glove.

The Brazil international could be in contention for the 2019 Ballon d'Or award alongside Liverpool teammate Virgil van Dijk and Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.

But Alisson has played down the chances of becoming the first goalkeeper since the legendary Lev Yashin to win the award.

"There are a lot of top players aspiring for that prize. I'm just a goalkeeper," he said.

Liverpool legend Ray Clemence believes Alisson could easily become a club legend if he continues to replicate his success in the next five to ten years.

"He's proved this year he's a great goalkeeper," he told Sky Sports.

"Truly great ones, the legends, continue to do that for the next five, ten years.

"The word legend is thrown out without thinking, some of the players I was lucky to play with did it for six, seven, eight, ten years -- and that's why they are so revered at Liverpool.

"But he's had a great start. With foreign players, it's partly down to how long they and their families want to stay at a club. Hopefully yes, but only they can make that call."

Is Alisson the best goalkeeper in the world?
