Fred produced a moment of magic to get Ralf Rangnick's Manchester United reign off to a winning start.

Fred curled in a stunning strike from outside the box in the 77th minute to secure a big win at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Second half substitute Mason Greenwood set up the Brazilian who completed the move with a wonderful goal as Man United beat Crystal Palace 1-0.

Fred, who has been the subject of criticism this season, has performed brilliantly in the last few games.

He starred against Chelsea as his side earned a point at Stamford Bridge and set up Bruno Fernandes and won the crucial penalty versus Arsenal.

Rangnick marks his first game in charge of Man United with a win having implemented his pressing style.

The Red Devils set up in a 4-2-2-2 formation, with the 63-year-old telling his players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, to press.

They move above Arsenal to sixth place in the league, with 24 points on the board.

Man United return to action next Wednesday in the Champions League before resuming their Premier League campaign at Norwich next Saturday.
