Frank De Boer Has A Very Classy Response To Jose Mourinho’s Jibes
Frank de Boer has finally responded to Jose Mourinho's vicious jibes earlier this week, and has delivered the perfect classy comeback to the Manchester United boss.
During a press conference on Monday, Mourinho referenced de Boer's time as Crystal Palace boss by describing him as 'the worst manager in Premier League history', in response to the Dutchman's comments on the development of Marcus Rashford.
You'd think de Boer would be absolutely fuming with a comment like that, but the former Barcelona, Ajax and Rangers centre-back has offered a more thoughtful response in his newspaper column today:
Frank de Boer, forever the gentleman in Dutch daily AD today: 'I respect him as a manager. He's won plenty, is tactically very strong, knows how to disrupt his opponent's game. That's something I can learn from.'

Personally, we can't see Mourinho responding to the same criticism in the same, mature manner - not in a million years!
He might have endured something of a torrid time at Selhurst Park, but we'd love to see de Boer given another opportunity in English football - just really to see his clashes with Mourinho.
We think it's time to end this spat now.
