Adil Rami may not have played a single minute in France's World Cup triumph but he played his part in a different type of way.
It's emerged that the Marseille defender's moustache became a good luck charm for Didier the World Cup winners - with talisman Antoine Griezmann and manager Didier Deschamps twizzling his facial hair before games and making it a pre-match ritual.
Griezmann, who finished his second World Cup campaign with four goals, started the trend ahead of group games before others followed suit.

"Antoine Griezmann touched it before the game, and even the manager did to bring luck," Rami told TF1 after lifting the biggest prize in football.
"It is now the most famous moustache in France. I will keep it."
France now have a second star on their badge after replicating the 1998 heroics on home soil when Deschamps was captain. 20 years ago, they too had an unusual superstition that ultimately brought Les Bleus success - Laurent Blanc made sure he planted a kiss in the big bald head of Fabien Barthez's bald head prior to games.
Rami, Pamela Anderson's other half, has decided to bow out of international football on a high by retiring at the very top after 35 caps. However, he does have a bit of business to attend to because of something he agreed to do if France won the showpiece.
Prior to the tournament, he told Telefoot that if they did win it for the second time, he would have a fight with French judoka Teddy Riner.

The 32-year old confirmed he will fulfil his promise and square off against the two-time Gold medalist. Other France players also made some pretty hilarious bets going into the tournament, from shaved heads to pub crawls.
