Didier Deschamps has an array of talent at his disposal, but his second in command has warned one member of his squad ahead of the 2018 world Cup.

France's attacking option is beyond a joke.

'Le Bleus' boast the likes of Alexandre Lacazette, Antoine Griezmann, Anthony Martial, Kylian Mbappe and Kingsley Coman, to name but a few.

Not to mention Arsenal's other French striker Olivier Giroud. And Guy Stephane has issued a word of warning to the 31-year-old about his spot in Deschamps' final squad for Russia.

"It's clear that he's not playing enough and Didier has already had the chance to talk about it," Stephane told TF1 via 101 Great Goals.

Giroud has been subject to intense transfer speculation. In the summer window he was heavily linked with a move away from Arsenal, but no move transpired.

Everton and West Ham were reportedly keen on signing him. And the blue side of Merseyside remain in the market for a striker with Giroud's name still connected with the club.

Will he leave in January?

Well, Stephane is aware he has to find a solution. "He has to find a solution in the coming weeks. It's up to him to see."

He added: "He's been very good in the last couple of months, he's featured a lot and scored important goals, so now he has to play a lot.

Giroud has been playing second fiddle to club record signing Lacazette this season, with the January transfer window a few weeks from opening.

Your move, Olivier.
