Tempers flared during the Merseyside derby tonight as Everton's Ramiro Funes Mori received a red card for a horrific challenge on Divock Origi. And a Liverpool legend reacted appropriately.
Like pretty much every other spectator (Everton supporters were probably fine with one of their players actually showing something resembling fight) John Arne Riise was appalled by the foul and took to Twitter to propose an act of revenge that his former club could take against the Toffees defender.
Origi was immediately replaced by Daniel Sturridge, who immediately extended Liverpool's lead to 3-0 as the pressure on Everton manager Roberto Martinez increased ahead of Saturday's FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United at Wembley.
