Claudio Ranieri's ruthless sacking remains the talk of the footballing community with Leicester City players slowly coming out of the woodwork to have their say.

From Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez to captain Wes Morgan - who's tribute didn't go down well with the Leicester faithfuls.

As well as former Foxes star N'Golo Kante. The diminutive Frenchman enjoyed a brilliant debut season under Ranieri.

He starred in the middle of the park, churning out impressive performances on a consistent basis eventually helping his side do the unthinkable.

Following his exploits during their Premier League triumphant season, Chelsea prized Kante away from the King Power snapping him up for £32 million.

And he's now helped steer his new side to the top of the league - and is some style as they sit comfortably at the summit, 10 points clear of nearest rivals, Spurs.

Conversely, Leicester are enduring a miserable domestic campaign as they occupy one of the relegation spots with many citing the lack of Kante as a result of their woeful term.

Begging the question; would the defending champions be in this situation with Kante?

Meanwhile, the 25-year-old has paid tribute to his former boss by posting the following Tweet:
