Can they tempt him?

Chelsea look certain to announce Antonio Conte as their next permanent manager sooner or later but the Italy manager probably wasn't their first choice. That is likely to have been Diego Simeone who is now being targeted by one of Europe's sleeping giants.

Atletico Madrid boss Simeone would have been the sort of combative manager Roman Abramovich seems to prefer, apart from when Guus Hiddink comes in to steady the ship, but the Argentine turned down any advancements of the Stamford Bridge club.

However Serie A side Inter Milan are interested in bringing their former central midfielder back to the San Siro as their manager next season and they hope to lure him back to Italy with a 100 million, five year, deal according to Fichajes.net.

Roberto Mancini is currently the man in charge of Inter and the team were top of the league for a while after a run of 1-0 wins at the beginning of the season but their record since 2016 started is awful with only three wins in 10 in the league.

The former City boss isn't seen as the man to take the Nerazzurri back to the heights they reached under Jose Mourinho, which is exactly the reason they sacked Mancini the first time and replaced him with Mourinho.

Do you think Simeone could be tempted to join Inter?
