Mathieu Debuchy, the ultimate forgotten man in football, is to play for Arsenal against Red Star Belgrade tomorrow.
Being honest, most people forgot that the Frenchman was still contracted to Arsenal given that he's barely played any football in the last couple of years.
Debuchy joined Arsenal from Newcastle for a fee of £12 million in 2014 and has won two Community Shields.

He would have had two FA Cup winners medals to his collection as well, had it not been for constant injuries during his stint at the Emirates.

In 2016/17 he made just one appearance in all competitions, and a year prior to that he made seven for Arsenal before heading out on loan to Bordeaux in his native France, where he also hardly featured.

Though it seemed like he would be one of many players to leave the club in the summer, the 32-year old survived and was named in the Europa League squad by Arsene Wenger.
The Arsenal boss has been giving opportunities to youngsters and fringe players on Thursday nights and in his press conference ahead of the away game against Red Star in the Serbian capital, Wenger confirmed that Debuchy has travelled and will start the game.
Debuchy is still contracted to Arsenal until 2019 and has somehow remained an Arsenal player despite offering literally nothing.

Hector Bellerin is Arsenal's first-choice right-back, but Wenger is giving Debuchy the nod tomorrow, with one eye on the visit of Everton on Sunday.
