There are many people puzzled by Leroy Sané's sudden reason to leave the Germany squad ahead of their friendly match against Peru.
And why wouldn't they be? Sané's exclusion from the Germany squad for the World Cup this summer was brought up every time the former champions did something bad. And there's no doubt that they were missing that vital spark needed in their dull performances.
It would only stand to reason that Germany coach Joachim Löw would recall the Manchester City forward and see how he could shake up the team.
It seems that Sané's departure wasn't due to his relationship with the coach or any issues with other players in the team.
According to the German newspaper Bild, the player left the team due to his partner. She's expected to have their child in the next couple of days, meaning Sané has cut international duty short so that he could be with her.
Fair play to him, especially as most people probably thought that there had been drama brewing in Germany's camp.
Germany vs Peru is set to take place on Sunday.
