The top 30 most valuable players who will be available on a free at the end of this season have been revealed - and it's no surprise who's No 1.
Lionel Messi's contract with Barcelona ends in June 2021 and given he looked set to leave the club last summer, he seems almost certain to walk away for nothing. This despite Transfermarkt valuing him at £90 million even at age 33.
Second is David Alaba (£58.5 million) who looks certain to leave Bayern Munich in 2021. The versatile Austrian international has been linked to Chelsea, while Gianluigi Donnarumma (£54 million) is also seeing his contract come to an end.
The AC Milan and Italy goalkeeper is only 21 so will get plenty of interest, although any interested party will have to go through his agent Mino Raiola. So that will be nice and straightforward.

All of the 30 players - listed below - have a Transfermarkt value of over £10 million (yet could go for nothing in the summer). But what's also interesting is who ISN'T listed.
For example, Luka Modric sees his current contract expire in 2021 - but because he's now 35, this Real Madrid legend is valued at only £8.1 million. This is also the same price tag Arsenal's Mesut Ozil has been reduced to.
Of course, Modric - and his captain Sergio Ramos - could well still sign contract extensions at Real. (Ozil is presumably less likely to be offered a deal at Arsenal.)

Other top stars who could be free to negotiate with other clubs from January if they don't agree new deals are Manchester City's Sergio Aguero, Liverpool's Georginio Wijnaldum and Memphis Depay, who has rebuilt his reputation at Lyon after his underwhelming spell at Manchester United.
