Football Study Ranks Best Players In Europe, Man City Boast Six In Top Ten

The top ten is dominated by the Premier League champions.

CIES Football Observatory have crunched the all-important numbers to determine the best players in Europe.

The Premier League and Bundesliga 2017/18 season is officially in the books, while the La Liga, Ligue 1 and Serie A still have games remaining before their campaign's conclude.

In the meantime, football index, CIES, have compiled data accumulated throughout this term to rank the best players in Europe from the five major leagues.

Topping the star-studded list is none other than Lionel Messi who continues to produce heroics for Barcelona. He's got a stunning rating of 92.12.

Manchester City's David Silva is second with 91.69 rating following his brilliance in England's top flight, steering his side to the Premier League title.

Juventus' Paulo Dybala comes in at three, ahead of international colleague Nicolas Otamendi.

While Liverpool's 'Egyptian King' is the joint-sixth best player alongside Fernandinho.

More City talent in the shape of Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling break into the top ten, with Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski rounding off the top ten.

Bayern Munich have the most players (26) in the list.

Paris Saint-Germain boast the youngest and oldest player in Kylian Mbappe (19) and Dani Alves (35), ranked 37th and 24th, respectively.
