Real Madrid Fans Wave White Handkerchiefs During Shock Defeat To Levante

Real Madrid fans are furious with their team's start to the season after Los Blancos suffered a shock defeat to Levante.

During the match, however, club supporters pulled out the infamous white handkerchiefs and started waving them at Julen Lopetegui's side.

Madrid's season hit a new low after they set the record for the longest goal drought in their illustrious history.

José Luis Morales Nogales opened the scoring for Levante in the opening ten minutes of the first-half.

The club doubled their lead after VAR awarded them a penalty and Roger Martí fired past Thibaut Courtois to make it 2-0 before half-time.

Madrid pulled one back through Marcelo, but it proved to be in vain for Lopetegui.

Madrid are fifth in La Liga after their opening nine matches and have four wins, two draws and three losses.

There will be even more pressure placed on the Madrid boss after the loss, with reports suggesting that the 52-year-old could be sacked if he fails to pick up a result against Barcelona in El Clásico later this month.
