Liverpool Supporter Wears Christmas Jumper His Mum Bought Him To AS Roma Clash

A Liverpool fan who opened his suitcase after arriving in Rome and found that he accidentally packed a Christmas pyjama top his mum bought him has decided to wear the festive jumper around the streets of the city and its famous football stadium.

The Reds supporter meant to pack his retro Adidas Liverpool top to the second-leg tie between Liverpool and AS Roma, but instead found in his suitcase the whacky Christmas top that his mum bought him during the festive period.

But that didn't deter supporter Steven Thompson, who, like a hero, took a picture of his mistake he made, with the hashtag '#wounded.

He then whacked on the top and posted pictures of him wearing it on the streets of Rome and inside the famous Stadio Olimpico before Liverpool's clash with AS Roma.

He might have been wearing a Father Christmas top out of the winter season, but Liverpool are certainly in Wonderland. The Merseyside club progressed to at least the semi-finals of the Champions League, with the help of attacking trio of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, and goal-getter 43 Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian King has set an unprecedented record with the number of goals that he's scored and could be set to win the Ballon D'or this year, pipping the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

It's no wonder the Liverpool fans, like Steven, are in such a good mood.
