Cristiano Ronaldo eats the exact same meal every single day to remain shredded, according to a Juventus teammate.

The Portuguese superstar is in incredible shape and is still one of the world's top athletes at 36 years old.

He is very particular about what he eats and how he maintains his ridiculous physique.

Juve youngster Daouda Peeters has given a valuable insight into how Ronaldo stays at the top of his game - and it involves a lot of chicken.

When asked about 'CR7' and his diet, Peeters told AS: "Always the same. Broccoli, chicken and rice. With litres of water, and no Coca-Cola, of course.

"Cristiano wants to win always and everywhere. I went to the gym for a while and, of course, Cristiano was also there.

"I was impressed. Cristiano has the perfect body for a footballer. And although I am also quite muscular, that day I thought; there's still work to be done. But hey, he's been doing it maniacally for so many years."

Ronaldo eats up to six meals a day and avoids all carbonated drinks as well as alcohol.

"A good workout must be combined with a good diet," the former Manchester United man said per Goal. "I eat a high protein diet, with lots of wholegrain carbs, fruit and vegetables, and avoid sugary foods.

"Eat regularly. If you train regularly it's important to keep energy levels high to fuel your body for better performance.

"I sometimes eat up to six smaller meals a day to make sure I have enough energy to perform each session at top level."

Ronaldo continued: "Learn to train your mind as well as your body. Mental strength is just as important as physical strength and will help you achieve your goals.

"Be disciplined. Keeping yourself motivated and sticking to your routine is key. For me, there is no room for easing off so I have to be strict.

"Training and physical sessions are most important, but living a relaxed lifestyle helps you to be the best you can be, physically and mentally.

"I spend my free time with family and friends, which keeps me relaxed and in a positive mindset."

Portugal are in the last-16 of Euro 2020 and will face Belgium in a heavyweight clash on Sunday evening.
