It has been revealed that Eden Hazard didn't actually cost Chelsea as much as first reported, with Le Soir sharing another dose of information regarding the Belgian national team, via Football Leaks.
Hazard was believed to have set the Blues back £32.5m when he arrived at Stamford Bridge from Lille back in 2012, but it now appears that the Ligue Un club pocketed £4.5m less than that, settling for £28m for the 2015 PFA Player Of The Year, instead.

The PFA award also earned Hazard a €2.4m bonus, while the new contract he signed with Chelsea last year saw his yearly salary skyrocket from €5m to €12.4m.
While £28m was still a relatively large amount to pay for a player four years ago (it seems almost like pocket money for an elite level footballer, nowadays), given Hazard's immense contribution to Chelsea over the past four years (with the exception of last season), the investment can now be considered to be a bargain.
