Football fan receives three-year ban for "unforgivable" racist tweets.

Leyton Orient were made aware of one of their season ticket holder racist tweets following England's loss to Italy in the Euro 2020 final.

The League Two club have served the fan with a three-year ban after they were made aware of the disgusting tweets.

They've also removed the culprit's season ticket in line with their "zero-tolerance approach to any racist abuse".

England stars Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka are heroes in the eyes of England supporters after their performances guided England to their first major final in 55 years.

However, after missing penalties in England's crucial shootout, they were targeted by vile racist abuse on social media. The FA, Arsenal, Manchester United have condemned the perpetrators.

After being made aware of one of their season ticket holders inflicting racist abuse, Leyton Orient were quick to ban them from the Beyer Group Stadium.

A statement published on the club's website reports: "The club has today issued a three-year banning order to a supporter, following reports of racist abuse following last night's Euro 2020 final".

"Further to the banning order, the supporter will be refunded the purchase for their season card for the 2021/22 season".

"The club is extremely proud of its diverse history, and continues to work with local authorities and governing bodies to enact change".

Meanwhile, Prince William said he is "sickened" by the racist abuse received by England's players, while prime minister Boris Johnson said: "This England team deserve to be lauded as heroes, not racially abused on social media".

"Those responsible for this appalling abuse should be ashamed of themselves".

The Metropolitan Police are investigating the acts of racism, which England boss describes as "unforgivable".

"We have been a beacon of light in bringing people together, in people being able to relate to the national team, and the national team stands for everybody and so that togetherness has to continue".

"It's my decision who takes the penalties, it's not a case of players not volunteering or more experienced players backing out".

The bottom line being there is absolutely no place for racism, racial discrimination or discrimination of any form in Football or any sport for that matter.
