The Belgium international is his best against the top sides.

Eden Hazard has become one of Chelsea's all-time greats, and these statistics really highlight that fact.

It's a modern day aspect of the game, when players get accused of going missing in big matches. For example, Mesut Ozil, a player who is arguably the most talented player in the Arsenal squad, is often criticised for going missing in big matches against the other major clubs.

There is no reason why a player would decent to perform under-par in the more important games, it could just be that they're marked out of the game and so unable to play to their ability.

Hazard is an exception to this. It appears that he relishes the big matches, as it clear from these stats.

It means the likes of Arsenal, Spurs, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool should pay extra attention to the Belgium international when they play against him. This was clear in the Blues' clash with the Gunners at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. Hazard's second-half substitution saw Arsenal's defence push back and the home side ran out 3-2 winners.

He was linked with a move away but recently said to RMC Sport : "Everybody knows what I have said after the World Cup. But I'm happy here." A lot has been said. A lot of stupidity too. But at the moment I'm happy. I have two years left on my contract and we'll see what happens. Leaving this year? I won't go. The transfer market in England is closed. Clubs can still sell players, but not sign new ones anymore. It would be a bit strange that they would sell me now while they can't sign a replacement."
