Roy Keane was not happy with the way in which Edinson Cavani warmed up.

Footage of Edinson Cavani warming up has emerged after Roy Keane criticised the Uruguayan striker.

The 33-year-old made another substitute appearance for Manchester United in the 1-0 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday and was unable to make an impact during his 15 minutes on the pitch.

Keane had been watching the Paris Saint-Germain's top scorer closely and ripped into him for what he deemed to be below-par preparation for his cameo.

"I'm intrigued when I look at warm-ups. Cavani never threw a leg," Keane said in his latest classic rant on Sky Sports' coverage.

"He actually didn't do a warm-up, did he?"

"Then he comes on as a sub and is being asked to get them back in the game. Ole's talking about having to get him (Cavani) up to speed, well, sometimes it's up to the player to do something. Ole will pay the ultimate price, obviously."

And a clip of Cavani on the touchline warming up during the game would back up what a livid Keane was talking about. We're no experts in stretches but he was very casual and laid-back in bringing his knees up.

The video is taken minutes before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored Arsenal's winner from the spot. Around five minutes later is when Cavani replaced Mason Greenwood and was extremely ineffective in his latest Old Trafford showing.

Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News also noted the lack of effort from Cavani in his half-time warm-up alongside Nemanja Matic and Donny van de Beek.

The defeat means United sit 15th in the Premier League table, having failed to win any of their home games this term.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has blamed the club's empty stadium for the disappointing displays, saying: "Home and away form is out the window really with no fans in the stadium."
