An MMA fighter tried to fight the referee in crazy scenes at an event in Abu Dhabi.
Ahmad Al Darmaki made Bogdan Kirilenko tap out to a rear naked choke in round one of their featherweight bout on the UAE Warriors 12 card but his refusal to release the submission saw him disqualified by British ref Marc Goddard.
He then followed that up by shoving former light heavyweight turned UFC official Goddard and attempting to grab him by the throat, though the Birmingham native was having none of it.

Goddard stood his ground and Al Darmaki eventually marched off to celebrate a victory that counted for nothing in the end.
There have been calls for Al Darmaki to be suspended for his actions given it's not the first time it's happened, while Goddard has been rightly praised for how he handled the situation.

He took to Twitter to react to an eventful episode.
Goddard is now for taking a very active approach to his officiating. Last month, he went mental at Roman Bogatov after he used multiple illegal blows in the same round during his bout at UFC 251.
"Woah... What are you doing?" the official shouted, before saying, "How many times?"

He then deducted points from the Russian, which led to Leonardo Santos coming out on top.
