FIFA To Work With Qatar To Explore Expanding 2022 World Cup To 48 Teams
FIFA have officially confirmed that they'll work with Qatar to make the 2022 World Cup a 48-team tournament.
Of course, that'll be a massive increase from the current 32-team format.
President Infantino: "it is feasible" to increase the teams of 2022 World Cup from 32 teams to 48 team.
"If we want to increase to 48 teams, then some games will have to be hosted by neighboring counties."
Says Qataris have responded well to the prospect. Decision in June.

Further talks are to take place in the summer with a final decision to be made in June.
