Liverpool beat Manchester United 2-0 at Anfield on Sunday but how would Jurgen Klopp's Reds get on if they played against Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United?

Of course there's no way of actually knowing and so the closest thing we'll ever get to it is a simulation on FIFA. YouTuber 'S2G' decided to put together the fantasy match, pitting the current 2019/20 Liverpool side against Fergie's 2008 troops - plus a few other legends.

In a 4-4-2 formation, United's side was the starting XI which beat Chelsea on penalties in Moscow, while Liverpool lined up their usual 4-3-3 system - with a couple of tweaks from the side Klopp opted for on Sunday.

There were a few strange decisions when it came to the substitutions, however. Philippe Coutinho was a sub for Liverpool, and United's bench included former players such as Peter Schmeichel, Ashley Young (no idea why), Gerard Pique, Roy Keane, Nani, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Michael Owen.

Onto the actual game at Old Trafford, Liverpool started brighter and it was Edwin van der Sar who was busier of the two goalkeepers in the first half.

Wayne Rooney hit the post for United with a header just before half-time and then 15 minutes into the second half, the Red Devils bagged the only goal of the game.

Ryan Giggs and van Nistelrooy combined brilliantly down the left and the Dutch striker smashed home the winner with his supposedly weaker foot.

United, with Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic at the heart of the backline, were able to see out the remaining 30 minutes and pick up the 1-0 win.

Another notable FIFA 20 experiment saw YouTuber 'Rich Leigh'' try and settle the Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo debate for good.

He simulated a game between a team of Messis and a team of Ronaldos, with every player, from goalkeeper to striker, a clone of the footballing legend.
