The Premier League is over and done with for another season and that means so too are our FPL exploits until August rolls around.

Yusuf Sheikh from Tanzania was the worldwide winner, racking up an insane 2,512 points across the season and sealing the top spot thanks to some final day heroics.

He was 33 points behind Bharat Dhody and his 'Boom Xhaka Laca' side, occupying sixth place at the start of the final day.

But after leaving his triple-captain chip to the very last game and bestowing the honour upon record-breaker Mo Salah, he did the business.

However, with six other managers in the top 10 skippering 'The Egyptian King' - the real masterstroke on Yusuf's part was drafting in Marcus Rashford and Lukasz Fabianski, who brought him 17 points thanks to their contributions in the last game of the season.

Moreover, Deandre Yedlin collected six points after coming in from his bench following Ben Davies' absence for Spurs, while strong displays from Marko Arnautovic and Wilfried Zaha helped him end the campaign with 93 points, an eight point margin leading to him collecting a host of top prizes.

Yusuf's winning team can be found above but we at SPORTbible have put together the highest-scoring XI in FPL this term.

To the surprise of no-one, Golden Glove winner David De Gea is in goal having picked up 179 points over the course of the season. His 18 clean sheets, two more than Manchester City's Ederson, makes him the highest-scoring goalkeeper.

At the back, Chelsea pair Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso have been must-have, totalling 340 points between them thanks to a combination of clean sheets, goals and assists.

Title-winner Nicolas Otamendi gets in after a fine season in which he accrued 156 but the fact he didn't play in the final two games and therefore didn't get me any points still has me raging.

In midfield, Salah, the highest-scoring player in FPL history after hitting 303 for the season is of course on the right flank, as is the league's top assister and the man he pipped to the PFA Player of the Year award, Kevin De Bruyne, who scored 209.

Christian Eriksen and Riyad Mahrez, the fifth and sixth highest scorers in terms of FPL points, racked up 199 and 195 points respectively, while Raheem Sterling's sensational tally of 18 goals and 11 assists amassed 229 - thus meaning he is the second highest-scoring player on the game for 2017/18.

The 23-year old's compatriot Harry Kane bagged two on the final day to reach 30 Premier League goals and 217 FPL points, while his England strike partner Jamie Vardy notched the same number in the same game to finish on 20 goals and 183 points.

So there you have it, what a team. You'd never be able to have it as your actual team because of the price cap but it's a bloody marvellous XI.

Ederson, Roberto Firmino, Leroy Sane and Antonio Valencia would be the four subs.

How did you get on in FPL?
