England's Team Based On Fantasy Football Points Is Interesting

England's Team Based On Fantasy Football Points Is Interesting

Go on Roy, it's the best way to pick...

Roy Hodgson has a little while yet until he needs to pick his team for Euro 2016 but this month the England manager has got warm up games against Germany and Netherlands to get through and we reckon this is the team the former Liverpool boss should pick.

Hodgson is obviously likely to stick mainly to the players who have got him to France and won every single game in qualifying. It might have been an easy group but that's never stopped England struggling before.

On the flip side to the usuals and his favourites are a group of players who have been playing out of their skins all season with no real recognition other than how high up they are on fantasy football points. And that seems like as good a way as any to pick Roy's team for those friendlies later this month:

Eric Dier may have picked up his 97 points of 'fantasy' as a defender but the Spurs player has spent most of his season in central midfield alongside Dele Alli so in our team he gets in alongside Ross Barkley.

In true Mike Bassett style we've gone with 4-4-f***ing-2, we are English after all, none of this fancy foreign tactics thanks!
