Marcus Rashford put on a fantastic display for Manchester United against Brighton & Hove Albion.

The 21-year-old English forward's brilliant strike handed the Red Devils a 2-0 lead before half-time.

A United fan page tweeted the following: "How am I supposed to tell my children that Rashford really put this in the top corner from this angle with that body shape?"

The tweet has become a viral hit and has even caught the attention of United's official Twitter account.

Of course, the club responded to it with a simple message: "We'll vouch for you."

United beat Brighton 2-1 at Old Trafford and maintained Ole Gunnar Solskjær's 100 per cent start as caretaker boss.

The 45-year-old Norwegian praised Rashford after the match, suggesting that he might be the best striker in the Premier League after Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane has been ruled out with an injury.

"You can argue for many strikers, but I'm glad he is in my team," he said (via BBC Sport).

"No-one beats him on workrate. No-one beats him on attitude.

"Kane is injured, so maybe that gives him [Rashford] a better chance to be the best one at the moment.

"At the moment, he is very confident in front of goal. He finishes. He tries to shoot. He doesn't think twice about it.

"He is so calm and assured when he is finishing. That was the first thing I said to him when I met him. He had missed some chances and I said: 'No problem. You'll be all right, just settle down a little bit.'"
