There are a number of belters in there...

Imagine all the iconic moments in football history you can think of but with face masks? Well, one fan has used photoshop to create a short thread to bring those thoughts to life.

The mini-thread comes after news that Premier League players will have to wear protective masks when they return to full training.

@randballbell starts big with the moment when Ashley Young really could have done with a face mask. Playing against Swansea City in 2014, Young appeared to have a bird's droppings land in his mouth when he was furiously venting at his teammates.

The former Aston Villa man has always claimed that a bird not poo in his mouth but not many people have ever bought it.

Also in the thread is Frank Rijkaard spitting in Rudi Voller's hair, Steven Gerrard kissing the camera after scoring at Old Trafford, Luis Suarez biting Branislav Ivanovic through his face mask back in 2013 and then finally, Kevin Keegan's infamous "I would love it!" rant.

Someone also replied with a photoshop of Newcastle teammates Kieron Dyer and Lee Bowyer fighting with face masks on and we're hoping there's some more entries to follow after a solid start.

Sticking on the same creative train of thought, another fan put together a thread of the most memorable football moments happening behind closed doors with nobody present in the stands.

The chain of tweets includes Eric Cantona's infamous karate kick, Emmanuel Adebayor's celebration for Manchester City against former club Arsenal, Roberto Baggio's World Cup penalty miss and Arsene Wenger being sent off to the stands at Old Trafford.
