Sunderland Are Officially Relegated In The Most Sunderland Way Possible
It's been on the cards for a while but Sunderland have been officially relegated from the Championship today.
Chris Coleman's side were 1-0 up against relegation rivals Burton Albion through Paddy McNair and looked to be surviving for another week.
However, former player Darren Bent equalised four minutes from time before Liam Boyce added a stoppage time winner for the visitors, 23rd in the table but still with a fighting chance of staying up
The Black Cats thought they had levelled in the dying embers when the ball was bundled over the line but it was ruled out by the referee.

BREAKING: Sunderland are officially relegated. Burton playing Bolton means one of those teams will be on at least 41 points next weekend. SAFC can only finish on 40 points.
