Stoke City's Premier League Fixture List Is Even Laughing At Them

What are the chances...

Stoke City face the very real prospect of Premier League relegation after a decade in the top flight of English football.

If you look at their upcoming fixtures it realistically could be the end for Paul Lambert's side, with games against Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Everton on the horizon.

Sky Sports later highlighted their tough end to the season on Monday Night Football after they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City and plenty noticed an unfortunate trend to the list.

Two goals from David Silva sank the Potters as the curse word relegation was hovering around social media throughout.

It has been a tough season for Stoke and during a Premier League game against Watford last month, both teams produced a miserable set of stats.

Somehow, the game wasn't last on Match of the Day but the drab 0-0 draw was anything but memorable and it's 90 minutes that fans of both clubs will never get back.

I say 90 minutes, but they definitely didn't get 90 minutes worth of action. That's because as per Opta, the ball was in play for just 42 minutes.

The time between the first and last whistle from referee Jon Moss was exactly 96 minutes and 41 seconds but it's emerged that the ball wasn't in play for 43.3 per cent of the game.

A feisty affair that saw seven cards dished out, the amount of timewasting, whether it be players receiving treatment for injury, or taking an age to take throw-ins and goal-kicks, certainly added up - with the game seeing the lowest amount of ball-play in the Premier League this term.

Will Stoke City be able to find a way out of the relegation zone? Can Paul Lambert perform a minor miracle?
