WATCH: Manchester City Supporters Give Manuel Pellegrini the Most Embarrassing Send Off Ever

"There's about 8 fans left in the Etihad!"

Manchester City slipped to a 2-2 draw at home to Arsenal this afternoon - and then proceeded to give outgoing manager Manuel Pellegrini the worst send off we've ever seen.

The Chilean coach departs the Etihad stadium after three years in Manchester, and will be replaced in the summer by former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola. But today's draw with the Gunners now means that despite Pellegrini's three trophies in three years, he could leave City as a club in the Europa League, with Manchester United handed the advantage by the result.

If United beat both West Ham and Bournemouth in their final two Premier League matches, they'll finish fourth and push City into fifth - meaning Guardiola could have the ignominy of managing in Europe's second-tier competition.

But regardless of the implications of City's poor form, Pellegrini probably deserved a better goodbye than today.

As you can see, when he and his players strode out onto the pitch afterwards, and Pellegrini gave his short speech, there must have been - tops - 15,000 fans.
