Cesc Fabregas and Thibaut Courtois have reminisced about Chelsea's 3-0 loss to West Brom back in 2015 with a funny Twitter exchange.
The Blues pair were important parts of Jose Mourinho's team when they won the English Premier League title two years ago.
They'd already secured the title before travelling to the Hawthorns to play against the Baggies in May so could be forgiven for taking their foot off the gas and losing 3-0.
It's a particularly memorable defeat given Fabregas' bizarre red card early on in the game.
It all started with Courtois picking up on this video of the Spaniard hitting him in the head in the tunnel before kick-off:
Courtois tagged his pal in a tweet to show him the video:
Fabregas was quick to respond, saying Courtois wasn't focused that night:
You were NOT focused enough!! :joy: https://t.co/4RW5sukEee- Cesc Fàbregas Soler (@cesc4official) September 4, 2017
So it didn't take long for Courtois to reference Fabregas' bizarre red card:
If I remember well in that game you had a red card after 20 min♂️- Thibaut Courtois (@thibautcourtois) September 4, 2017
But Fabregas had another good point:
Is it an excuse for you conceding 3 that day? https://t.co/rfERGSHOsL- Cesc Fàbregas Soler (@cesc4official) September 4, 2017
Courtois brought some perspective to the exchange though - reminding his teammate that they'd already won the Premier League title before it all:
Hahaha luckily we won the premier league before that game! :raised_hands::tophat::trophy:- Thibaut Courtois (@thibautcourtois) September 4, 2017
We've certainly got a lot of time for Courtois not giving a shit about shipping three goals because his team had already won the league. Football needs more heroes like him.
