They say that to be a goalkeeper you've got to be wired a little differently. Maybe that's why it makes sense that only a goalkeeper could change from being a professional footballer to a professional wrestler in WWE.

The world's most famous wrestling promotion are currently on tour in Europe, with live shows in Glasgow for Raw and Smackdown early next week the biggest events on the schedule, and last night they appeared in Munich with one very familiar name on the roster for the German fans.

As well as the usual superstars there was also former Germany and Werder Bremen goalkeeper Tim Wiese, performing for the first time as a superstar on the main roster.

The 34 year old teamed with 'odd couple' tag-team Cesaro and Seamus to defeat the trio of Bo Dallas and the Shining Stars:

Wiese, whose wrestling nickname is "The Machine" retired from football in 2014 and was reportedly offered a developmental contract by WWE and later appeared as a time keeper at an event in Frankfurt.

In July this year the former keeper accepted Triple H's invitation to join WWE's Performance Centre.

Before the tour the latest WWE star told talkSPORT, "It's awesome to make my first WWE appearance in such a great match. I worked hard for this moment and I can't wait to step into the WWE ring together with Cesaro and Sheamus.
