Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly plotting a January swoop for Yaya Toure and Bastian Schweinsteiger, according to the Daily Star.

The Manchester duo are both surplus to requirements at their respective clubs and look set to move on when the January transfer window rolls around. It seems as if PSG could move in and look to sign both players.

Yaya Toure has made just a single appearance for the club this season, which came in a Champions League play-off round second leg at the Etihad. The Ivorian looks to have played his last game for the club, following his agent's outburst at Pep Guardiola, who said last week that Toure would not play until his agent issued an apology.

Dmitri Seluk, the number one pantomime villain for Manchester City fans, has spent the last week ripping into Guardiola. His client is out of contract in the summer and City could look to get Toure, one of their top earners, off the books.

Bastian Schweinsteiger has been in a similar situation to Toure, minus the attention-craving agent. Jose Mourinho made it clear that the German was not part of his plans upon joining the club and the former Bayern Munich man has been forced to train with the United youngsters.

Schweinsteiger reportedly has potential suitors in America but would prefer to remain in Europe. PSG, currently floundering in fourth place in Ligue 1, would look to sign the pair on cut-price deals.

Both players would be eligible to play in the Champions League should they sign with the French side.
