Hertha Berlin are at it again!

Exactly a week ago, the German club cheekily tried to tap up Zlatan Ibrahimovic on Twitter after it was confirmed that the Swede's contract was not being renewed by Manchester United.

Tweeting the former Barcelona man, Hertha tried to tempt Zlatan into playing in Germany - the only top-level footballing country he has yet to venture into, and told him to "think about" their proposal.

The Tweet garnered over 3,000 Retweets, and now Hertha have attempted to go one bitter by making an offer for Cristiano Ronaldo, whose future has been cast into major doubt today.

A Bola's front page today runs a story that explains, in a shock turn of events, Ronaldo has informed Los Blancos he wants to leave the Bernabeu this summer.

The news stems from the ongoing lawsuit from Spanish prosecutors, who claim Ronaldo defrauded the authorities of €14.7 million in a three-year period between 2011 and 2014 in relation to his image rights.

As a result of the allegations, it's said that Ronaldo wants to leave Spain altogether despite signing a new and improved five-year contract back in November, and the Portuguese forward's decision is "irreversible", it is claimed.

Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United, Ronaldo's former employers, are the two clubs who have been linked following on from the news that broke this morning, but Hertha have put forward their case on social media with another brilliant Tweet:

"No cash, but galactic challenge and Berlin will love you like a son," the club wrote on their Twitter account, before asking the four-time Ballon d'Or winner if he's keen.

Nice try, lads.

Championship outfit Bolton Wanderers got in on the act, but confirmed Ronaldo won't be heading to the Macron.

Do you think Ronaldo will levae Real Madrid or is it just a ploy for him to get a better deal?
