Espanyol defender Adria Pedrosa has received abuse aplenty on social media after he swapped shirts with Barcelona's Lionel Messi following his side's 2-0 derby defeat at the Nou Camp.
In a less than memorable encounter on Saturday night, Messi bagged a brace, including a Panenka free-kick, to take his goals tally to 41 for the season.
Despite it being a derby, 20-year old Pedrosa set about asking the five-time Ballon d'Or for his shirt on the pitch and Messi was happy to oblige, with the exchange caught on camera.

But while we'd probably all do the same thing if we had one chance to get Messi's shirt, Pedrosa has felt the wrath of Espanyol supporters, who called him "Judas", "a traitor and "a piece of shit" on social media and asked him to leave the club.
Bit harsh, surely? A whole host of players want Messi's shirt and surely some leeway should be given considering the lad only made his La Liga debut in December.

In January, Getafe player Jaime Mata managed to get hold of Messi's shirt as well as sharing an embrace at the end of the game and he was buzzing as a result.
It was an honour to get Messi's jersey," he told Diario AS.
"It's an honour to play against the best player in the world and it's a good thing to be able to share the field with him."
