Erling Haaland was involved in one of the most bizarre and awkward post-match interviews last night.
The Norwegian man mountain struck twice for Borussia Dortmund in a 3-0 Champions League away win at Club Brugge, taking his overall tally in the competition to 14 goals in 11 games.
He was whisked in for an interview after his heroics and all was going well to begin with. Haaland doesn't always speak at length but he answered questions about Dortmund's tactics and his record against Belgian sides.
But then came the weirdness right at the very end. The reporter finished by asking the former Salzburg striker if he was "sleeping lonely" tonight.
A confused Haaland replied, "I'm errrr, yeah."

The journalist tried to explain his question further and appeared to be referring to a previous quote where Haaland said his match balls were "his girlfriends".
He said: "You're not taking a girlfriend at home, you didn't score a hat-trick" - to which Haaland simply added: "Didn't score, no."
The interview was swiftly wrapped up there and prompted hilarious reactions from both Micah Richards and Jamie Carragher in the CBS Sports studio.

"I don't know where that was going there!" was Richards' comment, with Carragher saying: "Jesus Christ, I thought we were all getting sacked!"
There was context to the question given it was a reference to a past comment from the 20-year-old but the reporter probably ought to have mentioned it instead of jumping straight in.

Anyway, it's not as if Haaland enjoys doing interviews. He doesn't always have much to say and seems like he wants to get out of them straight away.
That's all fair and good as he much prefers do his talking on the pitch and he's definitely been doing that in the past year or so.
Since signing for Dortmund in January, Haaland has scored a ridiculous 26 goals in 28 games and emerged as one of the best strikers around.
