A few days removed from the Champions League final, Loris Karius remains the talk of the town. He continues to be subject to intense scrutiny on social media, with a host of profiles chipping in with their thoughts.

We're talking ex-Pornstar Mia Khalifa, Jeremy Clarkson, among others including Manchester United's Eric Bailly.

Liverpool players have attempted to console their teammate by sending him messages online. Not to mention Mia who's eyeing him up.

And it's not just his club colleagues looking to restore his confidence.

United's Bailly has offered his support in a great gesture.

Following Saturday's game, Karius broke his social media silence by sharing a few emotional posts.

His message attracted plenty of replies. Some good and some bad. But Bailly's words are brilliant.

He posted: "Stay strong Loris you are a good golkepper". He may have spelled goalkeeper wrong but it's the thought that counts.

Class Eric.

As for Karius, his message online read: "Haven't really slept until now... the scenes are still running through my head again and again... I'm infinitely sorry to my teammates, for you fans, and for all the staff. I know that I messed it up with the two mistakes and let you all down...

"...As I said I'd just like to turn back the time but that's not possible. It's even worse as we all felt that we could have beaten Real Madrid and we were in the game for a long time...

"...Thank you to our unbelievable fans who came to Kiev and held my back, even after the game. I don't take that for granted and once again it showed me what a big family we are. Thank you and we will come back stronger."

Jurgen Klopp has expressed his desire to draft in a new keeper during the summer transfer window, and following Karius' shambolic performance, that search will only intensify.

Does the German still have a future at Anfield?
