Harvey Elliott turned down the chance to meet Sergio Ramos when Real Madrid tried to sign him because of what he did to Mohamed Salah.
Elliott was courted by many clubs around Europe before ultimately signing for Liverpool in 2019.
Real Madrid were keen on signing the English talent and even gave him a tour of the iconic Bernabeu to convince the youngster to move to Spain.
They rolled out the red carpet and offered to arrange a meeting between Elliott and Real Madrid captain Ramos.
However, Elliott snubbed Real Madrid's offer due to the defender's challenge with Salah during the Champions League final in 2018.
Real Madrid tried to sign Harvey Elliott last summer. Their charm offensive included an offer to arrange for Elliott to meet Sergio Ramos.
Elliott: "No, it's OK, thanks. I don't like him after what he did to Mo Salah."

"There was a tour of the Bernabeu and their training ground complex as they sought to convince the youngest player to play in the Premier League to move to the Spanish capital last summer," the report from The Athletic reads.
"When they reached Sergio Ramos' shirt, hanging up on the wall, Real's charm offensive included an offer to arrange for the talented teenager to meet their long-serving captain.
"'No, it's OK, thanks, I don't like him after what he did to Mo Salah.'"
Of course, Salah was reduced to tears after falling awkwardly on his shoulder following a challenge from Ramos.
Elliott went onto put pen to paper with Liverpool for an undisclosed fee and the teenage sensation revealed that he idolises Salah.
"King, I would say!" He told the Liverpool ECHO.
"Just because of his style of play and who he is on and off the pitch. Myself, looking at him in my position, I idolise him a lot.
"To be going up against him in training, I learn a lot of things from him. Even in the gym as well, he is telling me to do a higher weight, push myself even more. To have him in the club and around us young players, he is a really big influence."
