Eden Hazard Weighs In On The Ronaldo-Messi Debate

Chelsea's brilliant No.10 Eden Hazard has chose between the Real Madrid and Barcelona footballing gods.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi went head-to-head as Barcelona clinched a famous El Clasico win at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Argentine maestro produced heroics, scoring and creating.

He also surpassed Bayern Munich's Gerd Muller for scoring the most goals for one club in the top five European leagues.

Ronaldo, conversely, had a day to forget. He missed a guilt-edge chance when the game was goalless, with his side now 14 points adrift of the La Liga leaders.

And following Messi's incredible outing, he's received Hazard's vote as the best player in the world.

"Of course, when you are playing football you want to play against the best," Hazard said.

"The best team, the best players in the world. Messi is the best player in the world.

"In the last 15 years, there hasn't been a team like Barca and there also hasn't been a player like Messi," the Belgium added.

Messi will be seeking to reclaim the La Liga trophy and more, ahead being named the best player of 2018.

Ronaldo bagged his fifth Ballon d'Or award in 2017, tying with Messi in the process.

Hazard, meanwhile, continues to attract interest from the Spanish and European champions with the club hoping to land a 'Galactico' next summer.
