Eden Hazard marked his first Real Madrid start since July by scoring a sensational second goal for Los Blancos.

The Belgian has struggled massively since making the big money switch from Chelsea in 2019 and will be hoping to have really kick-started his career in the Spanish capital today.

After going a remarkable 392 days without scoring a club goal, Hazard bagged the opener against Huesca in La Liga this afternoon with a wonderful strike.

Hazard turned smartly after receiving the ball in midfield and leathered in a stunning left-footed drive that was too venomous for the goalkeeper to handle.

Prior to today's long-range effort, Hazard's only strike for Real came against Granada on 5 October 2019, with his underwhelming stint plagued by persistent injuries and poor form.

It's been reported that he has returned overweight and out of shape at the start of both campaigns, leading to widespread criticism from fans and the media alike.

Even with the 29-year-old getting himself a La Liga winners medal last term, the former Lille man admitted that it was the worst campaign of his career.

"This year, we collectively won this league title, but I have surely had the worst season of my career individually," he told France Info.

"It was a somewhat strange season, with everything that happened. When you play for Real Madrid, you want to win all the titles."

Hazard hasn't been his usual mercurial self in Spain but after coming off the bench to help Real fight back from 2-0 down and claim a 2-2 draw against Borussia Monchengladbach in midweek, here's hoping his strike today brings about an upturn in fortunes.
