Just how is the relationship between Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho. The Frenchman has been a target of the Manchester United manager's scorn and been dropped from the first team. Didier Drogba believes he has some insight.

Jose Mourinho is a manager who has some very specific ways of working and it often doesn't matter how much talent you have, if you can't work those ways then he doesn't like you, just ask Luke Shaw.

Didier Drogba was the archetypal Jose player in the original archetypal Jose team, the Chelsea side that won back-to-back Premier League titles. He made up part of the spine that included Frank Lampard, Claude Makelele, John Terry and Petr Cech.

Check out our video on Mourinho's best quotes:

The Ivorian striker returned to the club to help the former Real Madrid manager to secure another title on his second stint in West London as well so he knows the manager pretty well.

Speaking to Telefoot the former Marseille forward explained that he believed the clashes between the manager and his current midfielder at Manchester United, Paul Pogba, are just because Jose's such a big fan of the former Juve man. Drogba said:

"It was heated between us more than once, but Jose will never attack people he doesn't like. He likes Paul a lot. It's why he's given him a lot of responsibility."

Well that all sounds Luke Shaw has absolutely nothing to worry about.

Then again that does make some sense when it comes to the former Southampton full-back. Mourinho recently said he was one of the best full-backs in the world. So if he clashes with people he likes maybe he showers those he hates with love, sorry Luke.

The whole thing has overtones of Joey telling Chandler that if the two actors on stage have heat then there's nothing to worry about but when there's nothing between them then they're probably sleeping together.

Basically United fans only have to worry when everything is fine between Pogba and his manager, right now though they'd probably he was starting and playing well. Then they can worry about who is sleeping with who...sorry, 'whom.'
