Does Neymar's Sister Hint At Move Away From Barcelona?

Confused us all

Brazilian superstar Neymar has been given a 'take it or leave it' offer by Barcelona to extend his stay at the Camp Nou club.

The 24-year-old's current contract runs until 2018, while Barcelona have tabled a deal that would see him potentially remain until 2022.

The player's agent, Wagner Ribeiro, has revealed that there have been "three offers from massive clubs'" - with reported interest from Real Madrid, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain.

Barcelona are determined not to be held to ransom by the player and his representatives and have put the ball in Neymar's court to commit to the club.

The reigning La Liga champions are confident that no side can muster up the require funds to sign the former Santos star at present, and thus the decision as to whether he stays or leaves will be on the shoulders of the Brazilian captain.

A reported 190 million release clause - as well as astronomical wage demands - will prove too much for any side to foot with ongoing obligations to comply with Financial Fair Play Rules.

However the situation could change should Neymar refuse to agree to the new terms presented. In 12 months he could be available for significantly less than his release clause and could potentially be available on a free at the end of 2017-18 - which is certainly not a scenario the Catalans want.

There's next to no chance of one of Barca's key players departing the Camp Nou this summer though, and the protracted nature of negotiations is almost inevitable for a player of his economic and sporting stature.

And Neymar's sister Rafaelle Beckran has added to the speculation linking the striker away from Barcelona. She uploaded a picture of a train with the captain: 'I hope you're going to a place that makes you happy.'

That's one way to confuse us all, Rafaelle.
